Who are the beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Nijut Babu Asoni?
Male Students of 1st Year UG and PG courses pursuing in the Government and Provincialized Institutes of Assam.
Permanent resident of Assam state, Domicile of Assam,
Regular students are enrolled in a recognized educational institution.
Students belonging to families with an annual family income of up to 4 lakh.
Objective of the CM Nijut Babu Asoni Scheme =
- The scheme’s main objective to reduce dropout rates among male students from low-income families.
- Reducing dependency on part-time or unskilled work
- Encourage students to continue higher education.
- Enhance the enrollment of students from the EWS category. Also, the department’s main objective to increase Assam’s overall Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER).
- For UG students who married students or applied for the BaniKanta Kakati Merit Award (Scooter scheme) are excluded from this scheme.
